I’m a 30 something male, father of two, IT consultant who has taken a liking to cross-stitch.
Serenare comes from the Italian word rasserenare meaning ‘to clear up’, brighten up. It is also related to serenamente meaning ‘serenely, calmly’. The X is for cross-stitch.
I cross-stitch in the evenings while my wife knits. It helps clear and calm my mind.
